Vatican City, April 26: President Droupadi Murmu attended the funeral Mass of Pope Francis at St. Peter’s Square on Saturday.

Pope Francis, the first non-European pontiff in nearly 1,300 years, passed away on Monday at the age of 88.

Joining President Murmu at the solemn ceremony were Union Minister for Parliamentary and Minority Affairs Kiren Rijiju, Minister of State for Minority Affairs George Kurian, and Deputy Speaker of the Goa Legislative Assembly Joshua De Souza. They were part of the official Indian delegation present at the service.(With Agency Input)
