PM Modi Visits Namibia to Boost Bilateral Ties
Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived today (Wednesday) in Namibia, marking the final stop on his five-nation tour. The visit, his first to the African nation, is focused on strengthening the deep-rooted historical ties between the two countries.
This visit is only the third ever by an Indian Prime Minister to Namibia and comes at the invitation of President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah.
During his time in the country, Prime Minister Modi is scheduled to hold bilateral talks with President Nandi-Ndaitwah to discuss enhancing cooperation. His agenda also includes delivering an address to the Parliament of Namibia.
In a gesture of respect, the Prime Minister will also pay homage to Dr. Sam Nujoma, the founding father and first President of Namibia.
According to India's Ministry of External Affairs, this high-level visit serves as a powerful reaffirmation of the multifaceted and enduring relationship that India and Namibia have shared for decades. It signals a continued commitment to partnership and collaboration on regional and global issues.
