Bhubaneswar, August 11:The Orissa High Court has allowed the no-confidence proceedings against Tikhiri Gram Panchayat Sarpanch Chameli Ojha of Kendrapada district to continue, but directed the authorities not to declare or publish the voting results without the court’s permission.

The order was passed while hearing a petition filed by Chameli Ojha challenging the no-confidence proceedings initiated against her.

According to the court’s direction, all necessary steps in connection with the no-confidence motion may proceed, including the conduct of the voting. However, the result of the voting must not be declared or made public until further orders from the High Court.

The hearing on Ojha’s petition has been concluded, and the court has reserved its judgment.

The order allows the no-confidence process against the Tikhiri Gram Panchayat Sarpanch to move forward, while keeping the outcome of the vote in abeyance until the High Court issues further directions.
