He gifted King Harald V a silver sailboat model crafted in Cuttack, representing Odisha’s renowned silver filigree artistry and its maritime legacy. To Queen Sonja, he presented a palm leaf Pattachitra, an example of the state’s ancient engraving tradition and intricate storytelling techniques.

The silver sailboat symbolized Odisha’s craftsmanship and historical ties to maritime trade, while the palm leaf Pattachitra reflected the detailed artistry and narrative heritage of Odisha’s artisans.
