PG Medical Exam question paper leak: Odisha govt. orders probe

Bhubaneswar, July 31: At a time when a high-level probe into the NEET Exam row is underway, the Odisha government on Friday ordered an investigation into the alleged leak of the Postgraduate (PG) Medical Examination question papers.

The probe was necessitated after the PG Medical Exam question papers made the rounds on social media, during the exams were going on.

The PG Medical Exam was recently conducted by the Odisha University of Health Sciences (OUHS).

Following the incident, a five-member committee, comprising senior faculty members from the MKCG Medical College & Hospital, Berhampur, has been formed to probe the allegation.

According to the report, the panel has been asked to submit the inquiry report within a 3-day time.

The question leak controversy surfaced after the PG medical examination question paper, was allegedly circulated on social media, especially on the WhatsApp amid the examination process.

Following this, aspirants and guardians expressed massive discontent over the conduct of the exam.

Responding to the public dissonance, Vice-Chancellor, OUHC Prof. Manash Ranjan Sahoo refuted the allegation.

“It was a case of malpractice, not a question paper leak”, he pleaded.

“A disciplinary committee has been formed to look into the matter and stringent action will be initiated against those found guilty”, Prof. Sahoo added.
