Pattapur, Nov 30: Pattapur Police Station in Ganjam district has earned national recognition by being named the second-best police station in India. The prestigious award was presented by Union Home Minister Amit Shah during the All India Director General and Inspector General of Police Conference 2024, currently taking place in Bhubaneswar.
The Inspector-in-Charge of Pattapur Police Station accepted the award on behalf of the station's officers, acknowledging their commitment and hard work. Director General of Police (DGP) Y.B. Khurania expressed his pride and gratitude, stating that this recognition has brought significant honor to the state’s police force.
This accolade highlights the dedication of Pattapur Police Station's officers and brings national attention to the security efforts in Odisha. The award also serves as an inspiring milestone for law enforcement agencies across India, showcasing the exemplary standards set by the Pattapur team.
The award ceremony is part of the annual conference, which brings together senior law enforcement officials to discuss key policing issues. During the event, the President’s Police Medal for distinguished service was also presented. The conference, which began on Friday at the Lok Seva Bhawan, will run until December 1.
