Bhubaneswar, Jan 17: A passenger injured during the force-landing of a nine-seater aircraft near Rourkela on January 10 succumbed to his injuries at a private hospital in the Steel City today.

The deceased was identified as Susanta Kumar Biswal.

Reports said he was undergoing treatment at the private hospital when he passed away.

The single-engine aircraft, operated by private airline IndiaOne, was forced to make an emergency landing in a field near Rourkela after developing technical glitches. The incident occurred while the plane was en route from Bhubaneswar to Rourkela.

Two crew members and four passengers, including Biswal and his sister Anita Sahoo, sustained injuries in the mishap.
