Ordnance Factory Blast in Maharashtra: Leaves Workers Trapped

A massive explosion ripped through an ordnance factory in Maharashtra's Bhandara district today, leaving at least six people critically injured and now a frantic rescue operation is on. The blast occurred around 10 am in the factory's RK Branch section, causing a roof to collapse and trapping 12 workers inside. While two individuals have been rescued, ten remain trapped, and rescuers are doing their best to free them from the debris.
Emergency responders, including firefighters, ambulances, and the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), have rushed to the scene. JCBs are being used to clear the collapsed roof and reach those still trapped. District officials confirmed the ongoing rescue operation, stating, "After the accident blast in Ordnance Factory Jawahar Nagar Bhandara, firefighters and ambulances have been dispatched to the spot, and a rescue operation is currently underway. With the impact of the blast the roof has collapsed, which is being removed with the help of JCB."
The cause of the explosion remains unknown, and an investigation is underway to determine the factors that led to this devastating incident. Authorities are likely to examine other related causes, including equipment malfunction, human error, or any breaches in safety protocols.
