Bhubaneswar, Oct 30: The Odisha Civil Services (OCS) examination being conducted by Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) will be conducted as per the schedule despite the flood situation in several parts of the state, Revenue and Disaster Management Minister Suresh Pujari said on Friday.
The Minister said the OPSC examination will be held tomorrow.
Clarifying the government position, the minister said postponing the examination could delay the entire recruitment process by nearly six months.
The government will ensure candidates reach their examination centres, with BDOs entrusted with transportation arrangements in the flood affected areas.
As many as 325 candidates are from Ganjam and 100 from other flood affected areas.
Pujari assured that necessary arrangements would be made to ensure that candidates affected by the floods do not miss the examination due to transportation difficulties.
