Bhubaneswar, Oct 30: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi today undertook an aerial survey of the flood-affected areas of Ganjam district in the aftermath of cyclonic storm ‘Arnab’ to review the prevailing flood situation.

The Chief Minister inspected several areas affected by the flood.

Meanwhile, an additional amount of ₹20 crore has been released to Ganjam district as financial assistance for disaster response and relief operations.

While NDRF, ODRAF and fire services teams have been deployed, emergency relief supplies were delivered through aerial dropping operations to flood-affected populations in inaccessible areas of Ganjam district to ensure timely humanitarian assistance.

Torrential rain and flash floods triggered by cyclone have affected around 42,500 people in Ganjam district, leaving 22 villages marooned, inundating houses, washing away roads and disrupting rail services.
