The families of the 26 individuals killed in the April 22nd terrorist attack in Pahalgam have expressed profound relief and strong support for "Operation Sindoor." Univocally lauded the retaliatory strikes conducted by Indian armed forces against nine alleged terror targets in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir on Wednesday, May 7th. The name chosen for the operation, 'Sindoor' (vermillion), held particular emotional weight for many. Pragati Jagdale, widow of Santosh Jagdale, conveyed, "On hearing the name of this operation, I got tears in my eyes... It's a befitting reply after the way those terrorists erased the vermilion of our daughters." Channaveerappa also found the name "correct because they have removed the tilak of many women."
