London, June 1: Moving ahead with India’s extensive global outreach campaign aimed at exposing Pakistan’s alleged role as a hub of international terrorism, the all-party parliamentary delegations led by Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Ravi Shankar Prasad arrived in London on Saturday (local time).
High Commissioner of India to the United Kingdom Vikram Doraiswami received the delegation.
As per the schedule, the delegation will meet with key people, including the Speaker of the House of Commons, Lindsay Hoyle, and Catherine West, the UK Minister for the Indo-Pacific during their four-day visit to Britain.
They will also meet members of both Houses of Parliament, as well as important figures from the media, think-tanks, and the Indian community in the UK.
The Indian Embassy in London issued a press statement on ‘X’ late Saturday evening, announcing that an All-Party Parliamentary delegation had arrived in London. The delegation, led by Ravi Shankar Prasad, Member of Parliament (Lok Sabha), includes former Ministers, Members of Parliament, and a former Ambassador. The group is visiting the United Kingdom from May 31 to June 3, 2025, with the goal of expressing India’s strong commitment to defeating terrorism.
In the press statement, the Indian Embassy in London stated that the delegation will meet and engage with Speaker of the House of Commons, Lindsay Hoyle, UK Minister for the Indo-Pacific, Catherine West, UK Parliamentarians, as well as leaders from think-tanks, the media, and representatives of the Indian diaspora during their visit to the UK from May 31 to June 3.
In an X post, the Indian Embassy in London stated that during their stay in the UK, the delegation will meet with Speaker of the House of Commons, Lindsay Hoyle, FCDO Minister for the Indo-Pacific, MP Catherine West, members of both Houses of the UK Parliament, and key representatives from the media, think tanks, and the Indian diaspora.
After wrapping up their visit to France, Italy, and Denmark, the nine-member delegation includes a mix of political leaders: Ravi Shankar Prasad (BJP), Daggubati Purandeswari (BJP), Priyanka Chaturvedi (Shiv Sena-UBT), Ghulam Ali Khatana (BJP), Amar Singh (Congress), Samik Bhattacharya (BJP), M. Thambidurai (AIADMK), former Union Minister M.J. Akbar, and former Ambassador Pankaj Saran.
