Odisha’s month-long Seva Sankalp Abhiyan begins today

Bhubaneswar, Sept 17: The month-long ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’ begins in Odisha on Thursday and will continue until October 17, with 13 programmes planned across the state. The Odisha BJP has said the campaign will focus on public service, social participation and outreach activities while highlighting the vision of ‘Viksit Bharat 2047’.

The campaign is being organised to mark Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday and his 25 years in public life. The programmes are planned from the organisational district level down to mandals and booths, with participation from youth, women, students, farmers and other sections of society.

The first day will feature mega blood donation camps. In the evening, the ‘Ashirbadara Deepa’ programme will be held, under which people have been invited to light lamps at homes, temples and other places. Beneficiaries of various government schemes are also expected to participate.

‘Mo Swapnara Bharat’ in Schools

From September 17 to October 7, the ‘Mo Swapnara Bharat’ programme will be organised in schools and educational institutions. Painting and speech competitions will focus on students’ ideas and aspirations for the India of the future.

‘Namo Seva Gatha’ Across Villages

Under ‘Namo Seva Gatha’, street plays and other presentations will be organised in villages to highlight Modi’s 25 years in public life and various government schemes, according to the campaign plan. The campaign will also include storytelling, awareness activities and short documentaries.

Anganwadi Outreach

The ‘Anganwadi Utsav’ programme will focus on recognising Anganwadi and ASHA workers while creating awareness among children and mothers about nutrition, healthcare and women-related welfare schemes.

‘Paribartanara Kahani’

The ‘Paribartanara Kahani’ initiative will showcase experiences of beneficiaries of various government schemes. Their stories are also planned to be shared through video messages as part of the campaign.

Seva Jyoti Kalash Yatra

On October 7, the ‘Seva Jyoti Kalash Yatra – Sankalp of Viksit Bharat’ will be organised across different areas. The programme is planned to connect villages and communities while marking 25 years of public service and reiterating the campaign’s stated vision of a developed India.

The campaign will conclude on October 17 with further public-service and outreach activities.
