Bhubaneswar, Nov 28: Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Friday said that Odisha’s rich cultural heritage, combined with the talent and skills of its youth, will play a pivotal role in propelling the state to greater heights in the coming years.
He noted that Odisha will complete 100 years of its formation in 2036, while India will mark 100 years of independence in 2047, and emphasised the need to prepare for these historic milestones.
Pradhan interacted with students of the Global Finance & Technology Network (GFTN) FinTech Programme, along with students and alumni of Skill Development Institute (SDI) Bhubaneswar, during an Edu Dialogue organised jointly by SDI and GFTN.
Pradhan expressed confidence that the Skill Development Institute (SDI) Bhubaneswar will help usher in a new culture of skilling and contribute significantly to the vision of a Viksit Odisha and Viksit Bharat.
He appreciated SDI Bhubaneswar for its continuous efforts to skill, upgrade, and make the youth of the state future-ready.
Highlighting the institute’s growing global linkages, the Minister said that SDI Bhubaneswar’s partnerships with international institutions, including the National University of Singapore (NUS), will further boost students’ career development.
He said he was pleased to hear about their experiences, aspirations and dreams, adding that India’s youth are well-positioned to seize emerging opportunities and drive the mission of building a Viksit Bharat.
