Bhubaneswar, June 17: State’s Government flagship mobility initiative Odisha Yatri App will soon offer ambulance services as well, Commerce and Transport Minister Bibhuti Bhushan Jena announced today.
"After successfully adding auto-rickshaw and taxi services, the Odisha Yatri App will soon include both government and private ambulance services. People can book them online. The Commerce & Transport Department will start the process soon," he said.
The government will set rules and decide the fare for private ambulances soon. Once ready, people will be able to book both government and private ambulances using the Odisha Yatri App, he added.
The Capital Region Urban Transport (CRUT) will run the ambulance services, and the Transport Department will take care of their maintenance.
The Odisha Yatri App, launched by the state government last year, is powered by the Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC).
It offers affordable travel options like non-AC and AC minicabs, sedans, XL cabs, inter-city rides, rentals, and instant ride bookings.
