Bhubaneswar, June 4: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Thursday expressed immense pride over Odisha securing five National Panchayat Awards-2025, calling it a significant achievement for the state and a reflection of strong grassroots governance.

In a post on his official X handle, the Chief Minister said that winning five awards in the national-level recognition event held in New Delhi is a matter of great honour for Odisha. He noted that Ganjam district secured three awards, while Keonjhar and Sundargarh districts received one each.

He highlighted that the success reflects collective participation, good governance, and a service-oriented approach at the grassroots level, which has further strengthened Odisha’s resolve to build a developed state.

CM Majhi congratulated the district administrations, elected representatives, officials, and local citizens of the award-winning districts for their performance. He added that he hoped such achievements would continue and expand in the coming years.

The Chief Minister’s statement read that the recognition is a result of dedicated efforts at the Panchayati Raj level and will further motivate the state toward inclusive and sustainable development.

The National Panchayat Awards honour excellence in governance, service delivery, and sustainable rural development. Odisha’s strong performance, particularly Ganjam’s three awards, underscores the state’s growing emphasis on effective and empowered Panchayati Raj institutions
