Boudh, Aug 3: In a major crackdown on alleged disproportionate assets, Odisha Vigilance sleuths on Sunday unearthed a staggering portfolio of high-value properties, including an astounding 36 plots of land during ongoing searches linked to Golap Chandra Hansdah, MVI, Boudh.
The raids, which are still underway, have so far revealed a double-storeyed building with covering approx 3300 square foot area in Baripada and a whooping 36 high value plots and bank and postal deposits worth Rs 56 lakhs along with others.
During house searches conducted so far, the following assets have been uncovered in the name of Hansdah and his family members:
- A double-storeyed building measuring approximately 3,300 sq ft, located over Plot No. 457, Khata No. 205/730 at Prafulla Nagar, Baripada, in Mayurbhanj district.
- A total of 36 high-value plots, including 35 plots in and around Baripada town and 1 plot in Sribantpur, Balasore town.
- The measurement and valuation of the building and plots are currently being carried out by the Vigilance Technical Wing.
- Cash amounting to ₹2,38,725.
- Bank and postal deposits worth ₹56 lakhs. Other deposits and investments are under verification.
- Gold jewellery weighing approximately 250 grams and silver ornaments weighing about 400 grams.
- Around ₹40 lakhs reportedly spent on the medical education of his daughter.
- One four-wheeler (Hyundai Creta) and three two-wheelers.
