Bhadrak, May 14:Odisha Vigilance officials on Thursday carried out simultaneous searches at four locations linked to Bijay Kumar Mohanty, a Junior Engineer (JE) in the CAD Division in Bhadrak, over allegations of possessing assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.

The operation was led by four Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs) and four Inspectors, with support staff, acting on search warrants issued by the Special Vigilance Judge, Balasore.

The searches targeted Mohanty’s triple-storeyed residence in Samaraipur, Bhadrak town, his double-storeyed house in his native village Narasingdiha under Basta police station in Balasore district, his office premises in Bhadrak, and a relative’s house at Malipada in Bhubaneswar.

The raids are ongoing and expected to continue for some time. Further updates are awaited.
