Malkangiri, Sept 29: Odisha Vigilance has arrested Shishir Kumar Dash, Assistant Executive Engineer (AEE) of Mathili Block, who is currently attached to the District Rural Development Agency (DRDA), Malkangiri, in a disproportionate assets (DA) case.
Dash will be produced before the Court of the Special Judge, Vigilance, Brahmapur, on Monday.
According to Odisha Vigilance, searches conducted at properties linked to Dash revealed assets allegedly disproportionate to his known sources of income. The seized assets include two multi-storeyed buildings with a total built-up area of around 9,300 sq ft, six high-value plots, bank deposits amounting to Rs 82 lakh and a four-wheeler, among other properties.
The Vigilance department said Dash could not satisfactorily account for the assets found during the searches.
In connection with the case, Brahmapur Vigilance Police Station Case No. 11/2026 has been registered against Dash under relevant provisions of the Prevention of Corruption Act.
Further investigation into the case is underway.
