Odisha unveils I-GFTCH to boost Digital Finance and Tech Talent

Bhubaneswar, July 31: In a major step toward becoming a hub for financial technology innovation, the Odisha government has announced the launch of the Integrated Global Financial Technology Capability Hub (I-GFTCH). The initiative aims to position the state as a center of excellence in digital finance and future-ready talent development.
The hub is being established in collaboration with the Global Finance & Technology Network (GFTN), with a shared vision to drive innovation and empower youth with cutting-edge skills.
According to official sources, the project will train over 7,000 students across all districts of Odisha over the next five years. The curriculum will focus on high-demand areas such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), blockchain, InsurTech, and digital finance, equipping students with skills for the global digital economy.
Officials see the I-GFTCH as a key step in making Odisha a leader in fintech capability and employment generation in emerging technologies.
