Kandhamal, Mar 8: In a tragic incident, at least three youths were killed after a car collided head-on with a motorcycle in Udayagiri locality of Odisha’s Kandhamal district late last night.
The deceased youths have been identified as Shankar Pradhan, Shrihari Pradhan of Gadingia village and Shubham Nayak of Kalinga village of the district.
As per reports, the trio was traveling on a bike when they collided with a car on Shreekala Ghat road near Daramaha under G. Udayagiri police limits in the district. The collision was so intense that all three of them died on the spot.
Upon getting the information, police rushed to the spot and launched a probe into the matter. The body one of the deceased youth was trapped under the car which was retrieved by the Fire Service personnel.
The cops seized the bodies of the deceased youths and sent them for post-mortem. The car driver and another person have been detained by the police for questioning.
Further investigation into the matter was underway.
