Odisha suffers defeat from Karnataka in B C Ray trophy

Bhubaneswar: Football Association of Odisha suffered defeat from Karnataka State Football Association in their inaugural match of the Junior Boy’s National Football Association for B C Ray Trophy at GNDU Sports Complex, Amritsar, Punjab on Sunday.
In the group-C league match, racing from the back Karnataka edged out Odisha by 3-1 goals. Odisha got the early lead in the 6th minute through a goal by Ishant Kujur.
However, in a counter attack, Hrishikesh Charan Manavathi scored the equaliser for Karnataka in the 7th minute. Pravish Kumar doubled the lead in the 17th minute and Hrishikesh nailed another goal in the 45+3 minute.
After the chances of the sides, both the teams created few half chances, but converted into the score line. In the second league round match, Odisha will face Manipur on 22nd July at Bibi Ratni Sports Stadium, Amritsar.
