Puri, Sept 16: In yet another instance of crimes against woman, a 19-year-old college student was allegedly gang-raped in front of her boyfriend near Baliharchandi beach in Odisha's Puri.

Police have arrested three persons in this connection and a manhunt is underway to nab the fourth accused, who is currently absconding. They reportedly deleted the videos before their arrest.

As per reports, the horrific incident occurred on Saturday when the survivor and her boyfriend were sitting near the Baliharchandi temple. According to police, the accused began recording them and demanded money in exchange for deleting the videos.

When they refused to pay, two of the assailants allegedly took turns to rape the woman and others assaulted her boyfriend after tying him to a tree.

Police stated that the survivor filed a complaint on Monday evening after overcoming the trauma of the alleged sexual assault.

Further investigation into the matter is underway
