Odisha Police signs MoU with SBI for corporate salary package for OSSF personnel

Bhubaneswar, September 11: Odisha Police on Friday signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the State Bank of India to provide Corporate Salary Package to the Personnel of Odisha Special Striking Force (OSSF).

IG (Operations) Dr Deepak Kumar signed the MoU on behalf of Odisha Police while Ashish Kumar Mishra, DGM of SBI signed the pact on behalf of the public sector bank. The MoU was signed between the Operations Wing of Odisha Police with the SBI in the presence of DG (Anti Naxal Operations) Sanjeeb Panda.

At present there are four battalions of Odisha Special Striking Force (OSSF) with the strength of about 4,000 personnel. Ex-army and CAPF personnel were recruited in the OSSF.

They are deployed in various parts of Odisha primarily in Anti Naxal Operation related duty.

As per the Salary Package, the OSSF personnel will be entitled for Rs 50 lakh accident coverage, air Ambulance reimbursement of Rs 10 lakhs, Child higher education cover upto Rs 10 lakh, cost of plastic surgery upto Rs 10 lakhs, Rishtey Account benefits to family members, personal loan, optional health insurance of Rs 5 lakh on payment of Rs 1999 per annum.

This benefit will be in addition to benefits offered by the Government.

Special Operation Group (SOG) Commandant Lochan Pasayat, OSSF Commandant Ramachandra Pradhan along with senior OSSF and SBI officers attended the MoU signing event.

DG (Anti Naxal Operations) Sanjeeb Panda thanked SBI for extending the Corporate Salary Package to OSSF Personnel.
