Odisha: Migrant worker from Jharsuguda electrocuted while working in Gujarat

Jharsuguda, Apr 10: In an unfortunate incident, a 20-year-old migrant worker from Odisha’s Jharsuguda district was electrocuted while working in Gujarat’s Surat.
The deceased has been identified as Karan Negi, a resident of Malidihi village.
As per reports, Negi had gone to Surat four months ago in search of work and was working as a migrant labourer in a prawn farm under a contractor. He was electrocuted while working on Monday.
Thereafter, his colleagues rushed him to a hospital, where the attending doctors declared him dead.
The body is expected to arrive in Jharsuguda today and will be taken to his village for cremation after reaching the District Labour Office.
A pal of gloom descended over the village, as Karna’s family and friends mourn his sudden and untimely death.
