Sundargarh, May 11: In a gruesome incident, a man allegedly murdered his neighbor reportedly over past enmity in Mahulpada locality of Odisha’s Sundargarh district.
The deceased has been identified as Dola Nayak and the incident has been reported from Sanjala village under Mahulpada police limits in the district.
As per reports, a heated exchange of words ensued between the accused, identified as Shuka Dehuri, and Dola over some issue related to old dispute. It later took a violent turn when Shuka, in fit of rage, attacked Dola with a sharp-edged weapon.
In the attack, he sustained grievous injuries and died on the spot.
Upon getting the information, police arrived at the scene and seized the body. Subsequently, it was sent for post-mortem.
The cops have also detained Shuka for questioning in this connection.
Further investigation into the matter was underway.
