Bhubaneswar, Aug 15: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, along with Deputy Chief Ministers Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo and Pravati Parida, extended their warm wishes to the citizens of the state and the nation on the occasion of India’s 79th Independence Day.
Chief Minister Majhi expressed his congratulations and urged people to come together in unity and integrity to strengthen the nation. He emphasized the significance of these values in maintaining India’s sovereignty and called on citizens to work collectively toward building a developed India. Sharing his thoughts on X (formerly Twitter), CM Majhi wrote: “Congratulations and best wishes on the occasion of Independence Day. Let us all pledge to maintain the unity, integrity, and sovereignty of the nation while striving to build a developed India.”
Deputy Chief Minister Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo also took to social media to pay tribute to the nation’s freedom fighters and martyrs. Reflecting on India’s long journey from the freedom struggle to the present, Singh Deo highlighted the theme of ‘Naya Bharat’ (New India) under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He emphasized that the vision for a self-reliant and strong nation is deeply rooted in India’s civilizational wisdom.
In his tweet, Singh Deo called upon citizens to celebrate the day with action, unity, and love for the country: “Today, the soul of Bharat stands tall. Her message on X read: “On the occasion of Independence Day, I extend heartfelt greetings and best wishes to every Indian.
