Bhubaneswar, May 2: On the occasion of Labour Day, Mohan Majhi announced a hike in daily wages for workers across the state. The state government has increased the minimum wage by ₹10 per day as part of its commitment towards labour welfare.
With the revision, unskilled workers will now receive ₹472 per day, while semi-skilled workers will be paid ₹572. Highly skilled workers will see their wages rise to ₹622 per day.
The new wage structure will come into effect retrospectively from April 1, officials said.
