Bhubaneswar, Sep 7: The Odisha government on Monday effected a minor reshuffle in IAS cadre.
Suresh Kumar Vashishth, a 1998-batch IAS officer, has been appointed as Principal Secretary to the General Administration and Public Grievances Department.
Vashishth was serving as Principal Secretary to the Social Security and Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities Department, with additional charge of the General Administration and Public Grievances and Parliamentary Affairs departments.
He will now hold the General Administration and Public Grievances charge as Principal Secretary and continue with the additional charge of the Parliamentary Affairs Department.
Sudhansu Mohan Samal, a 2010-batch IAS officer has been appointed Chairman-cum-Managing Director of Odisha Mining Corporation (OMC). He will continue to hold additional charge as Revenue Divisional Commissioner (Central Division), Cuttack.
The additional appointment of Girish S N as Chairman of OMC will cease from the date Samal takes charge.
Dr Brundha D, a 2010-batch IAS officer serving as Mission Director of the National Health Mission with additional charge of Chief Executive Officer of the State Health Assurance Society, has been appointed Commissioner-cum-Secretary of the Social Security and Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities Department.
