Puri, June 6: With a bid to manage Puri Rath Yatra at ease, the Odisha government on Friday constituted a Ministerial Committee for it.
The high-level committee formed in a first, will look after, monitor and oversee the arrangements for the world-famous Car Festival of Lord Jagannath in Puri.
According to reports, the Ministerial Committee will be led by Deputy CM Pravati Parida, as Chairperson
Meanwhile, the Puri district administration launched a ‘Shree Jagannatha Dham’ App, to guide the devotees with essential features on the Puri Rath Yatra. The mobile platform will offer comprehensive updates on the 12th-century temple’s rituals, schedules, and special events like Rath Yatra, improving the pilgrim experience.
According to an official announcement made on X , the app will provide detailed information about the Nitis (rituals) of Mahaprabhu Jagannath, including specific timings and schedules. This app will help devotees coming to Puri to plan their visits and spiritual engagements more effectively.
The app also covers updates on the world-famous Rath Yatra and all other key events and celebrations at the Jagannath Temple, offering devotees seamless access to verified temple information.
