Bhubaneswar, June 2: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi will attend NITI Aayog's Governing Council meeting on June 11 in New Delhi.
Ahead of the meeting, the State Government has directed all the departments to submit a detailed reports detailing the achievements, innovative reform measures taken by them and action taken report on the recommendations taken in the last NITI Aayog’s meet.
Development Commissioner has written to all the departments to this effect.
Chief Secretary Anu Garg will also attend the meeting.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will chair the NITI Aayog's governing council meeting and this time the focus is likely to be on human resources, with priority given to education.
The Governing Council of NITI Aayog, comprises Chief Ministers of all the States and Union Territories with legislatures and Lt Governors of other Union Territories.
The Governing Council is the premier body tasked with evolving a shared vision of national priorities and strategies, with the active involvement of States, in shaping the development narrative. The Governing Council, which embodies the objectives of cooperative federalism, presents a platform to discuss inter-sectoral, inter-departmental and federal issues to accelerate the implementation of the national development agenda.
So far, ten meetings of the Governing Council have been held under the chairmanship of the Prime Minister with Chief Ministers/Lt Governors of the States/UTs and other members of the Governing Council.
