Bhubaneswar, September 14: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Monday appealed to people to light an 'Aashirwad ka Diya' at their homes on Prime Minister Narendra Modi's birthday on September 17 and pray for his long life and good health.
In a video message, CM Majhi said, “Five decades of selfless service. Twenty-five years of dedicated leadership. Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji has devoted his life to building a strong, prosperous and self-reliant India.”
The Chief Minister appealed every family in the State to light ‘Ashirwad Ka Diya’ at home.
“On 17th September, I appeal to every family in Odisha to light an ‘Ashirwad Ka Diya’ at home, in a temple or at a prominent place. Let every diya carry our love, gratitude and prayers for Modi Ji’s long, healthy and blessed life,” said Majhi.
“If you have been touched by a welfare scheme, let your blessings become a heartfelt message of gratitude. Share your moments of ‘Ashirwad Ka Diya’ and let our collective blessings illuminate the path of a Viksit Bharat,” he added.
For the context, the BJP has announced a month-long 'Seva Sankalp Abhiyan' from September 17 to October 17 to mark Modi's 25 years in public life, with a series of programmes focusing on public participation, welfare outreach and youth engagement.
The party will observe Modi’s birthday as ‘Seva Diwas’, with the 'Aashirwad ka Diya' programme and blood donation camps planned across the country.
