
Bhubaneswar, October 5: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has extended his sincere thanks to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Minister for Electronics & IT, Ashwini Vaishnaw, for the approval of the ‘NaMo Semiconductor Laboratory’ at IIT Bhubaneswar.
In a post shared on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter), CM Majhi emphasized that the Odisha Cabinet had recently ratified the State Semiconductor Policy and signed several Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with prominent semiconductor firms. He remarked that this landmark decision would elevate Odisha's status as a key hub for semiconductor research, design, and advanced manufacturing.
The Chief Minister expressed optimism that the establishment of the ‘NaMo Semiconductor Laboratory’ would inspire the youth, foster innovation, and further solidify Odisha’s standing in the national and global semiconductor landscape. He also stressed the importance of this development in advancing the ‘Make in India’ and ‘Design in India’ initiatives.
