CM Majhi to attend swearing-in ceremony of new NDA Govt in Bihar on Nov 20

Bhubaneswar, November 18: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi will attend the swearing-in ceremony for the new Bihar Government on November 20 in Patna.

"I will attend the swearing-in ceremony of the new Bihar government, to be held on 20th November in Bihar. Chief Ministers and Deputy Chief Ministers from various states will be attending the ceremony,” said Majhi told media persons here.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and several other top leaders of the NDA, including Union Ministers, are expected to take part in the oath-taking event.

While there is no official confirmation yet on who will become the next Bihar Chief Minister, speculation is rife that Nitish Kumar, Bihar's longest-serving Chief Minister, will get the top position again.

If Nitish Kumar takes oath this time as the Chief Minister, it will be his record tenth time.

Preparations are underway at Patna’s Gandhi Maidan for the swearing-in event.

The NDA had won the Bihar Assembly elections with a massive mandate, with both the JDU and the BJP scoring way better than their 2020 performance. The BJP emerged as the single-largest party with 89 seats, followed by JDU with 85 seats. Even their smaller allies, like the LJP(RV), HAM, and RLM, performed well in this prestigious electoral battle.
