Bhubaneswar, May 11: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has approved the allocation of 100 acres of land in the Chandaka area of Bhubaneswar for the development of a state-of-the-art Science City.
Announcing the move during National Technology Day celebrations on Sunday, Science and Technology Minister Krushna Chandra Patra said the Science City would include a dedicated biotechnology park, creating new opportunities for industrialists and researchers to innovate and exhibit their work.
“This initiative marks a major step in making Odisha a hub for scientific research, education, and innovation,” the minister said.
The facility is expected to host exhibitions, events, and interactive programs aimed at nurturing a scientific temperament among students and the youth.
In addition to the Science City, the state government also plans to set up science centers in every district to strengthen Odisha's scientific ecosystem.
