Bhubaneswar, June 25: In a significant step towards enhancing digital governance, Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi today officially launched the e-Registration mobile app, designed to offer a unified platform for revenue-related services across the state. The initiative marks a major push by the state government to make public service delivery more accessible and technology-driven.
The newly launched app enables citizens to access a wide range of revenue services directly from their homes, including land registration, income certificate applications, online slot booking for registration, downloading certified copies, and viewing sub-registrar office details. Additionally, the app incorporates a visitor registration and feedback mechanism, making it more interactive and user-focused.
Speaking at the launch event, CM Majhi praised the app’s role in bringing convenience to everyday governance. “In this people's government, the system is now easier and more convenient. With the use of modern technology, various essential services are available at your fingertips,” he said.
The Chief Minister noted that people can now book registration slots, apply for certified copies, and obtain encumbrance certificates (ECs) from the comfort of their homes. He applauded the Revenue Department for developing such a comprehensive mobile platform and reiterated the government’s commitment to leveraging technology for better service delivery.
Alongside the app, CM Majhi also unveiled the Revenue Department’s annual success booklet, which outlines the key achievements and reforms implemented over the past year. “Since our government assumed office, we have initiated major reforms in the revenue administration sector. Revenue services have become more citizen-friendly and closer to the people,” Majhi added.
This move is expected to significantly reduce the need for physical visits to government offices, cut down on processing time, and improve transparency in public service delivery. The government sees the app as a pivotal tool in transforming Odisha into a model of digital governance.
