Bhubaneswar, September 13: A high-level review meeting was conducted today under the leadership of Odisha Chief Secretary Shri Manoj Ahuja to assess the progress of the Homi Bhabha Cancer Hospital and Research Centre's establishment in Jatni, Khurda district.

This state-of-the-art facility, being developed in collaboration with the prestigious Tata Memorial Cancer Hospital, Mumbai, will feature 294 beds and aims to provide critical cancer care services to patients across Odisha and neighbouring states.

The meeting covered several key project elements, including land acquisition, infrastructure development (roads and drainage systems), ensuring an uninterrupted power supply, and addressing the financial aspects. Chief Secretary Ahuja stressed the importance of coordinated efforts across various departments to accelerate the hospital’s construction, which will stand as the first modern cancer treatment facility in eastern India.
