New Delhi, August 18: Odisha BJP chief Manmohan Samal on Monday called on Union Home Minister Amit Shah in New Delhi.
During the interaction, Samal discussed about state’s growth roadmap and robust strategy on BJP’s state organisation, read a Samal’s tweet, shared today.
The state BJP President wrote on X, "Today, I had the opportunity to pay a courtesy visit to the Honorable Home Minister Shri Amit Shah in New Delhi. On this occasion, discussions were held on various important topics, including the development of the state, organizational strengthening, and other significant matters.
Under the leadership of the Honorable Prime Minister Shri@Narendramodi , our country is progressing towards a developed India. Guidance was received from the Honorable Home Minister on how the double-engine government in Odisha can become the growth engine of a developed India and work with greater determination in this direction."
Samal’s Delhi visit and interaction with national leadership today including party’s chanakya, is considered crucial interim the proposal of expansion of Odisha Cabinet and ahead of appointment of heads of state Boards and Corporations.
Political experts speculate Samal’s frequent visit to Delhi especially meeting Amit Shah and JP Nadda, a workout for finalizing the would-be ministers and Board or Corporation Chairpersons and members.
Worth mentioning, during almost 14-month time of the BJP regime in Odisha, the state government has yet refurbished the state Women Commission and appointed its Chairperson and members. However, it was hurridly constituted amid massive outrage following a number of cases involving self-immolation and barbarous cruelty against women and children.
Meanwhile, Odisha BJP President had informed media earlier that all the vacancies in state boards and statutory corporations will be filled up after August 15.
If Samal’s statement is expected to bear fruit, he might be discussing regarding the vacancies involving the board and corporations, with the national leadership where scores of grass root leaders will be appointed based on their obligation and contribution to the state-level organization.
On the other hand, Potential BJP leaders from districts and urban areas are frequently seen lobbying before the state-level leaderships to bag the headship of either a prestigious board or a reputed corporation, of their dream.
