Odisha Adarsha Vidyalayas students shine in JEE 2025, securing seats in top engineering colleges

OAV Students Crack JEE 2025 | IIT-NIT Seats Secured

Bhubaneswar, Aug 7: Students from Odisha Adarsha Vidyalayas (OAVs) and Iconic OAVs have made their mark in the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) 2025, securing prestigious seats in renowned engineering institutions across India. 

Following the final round of seat allocation, 33 students from these schools have been admitted to top IITs, NITs, IIIT Bhubaneswar, and other leading government engineering colleges.

Among the top achievers, Chandrasekhar Harpal from OAV Mashanimunda has earned a seat at IIT Dharwad, Sunaram Marandi from OAV Jhargan has secured admission to IIT Kharagpur, and Seema Gupta from OAV Kotpad has gained entry to IIT Patna.

Additionally, 20 students from the OAVs have been selected for NIT Rourkela, one of the country’s leading national engineering institutions. Four students V. Lakshmi Raju, Soumya Ranjan Behera, Manmohan Das, and Pradeep Panda have secured seats at IIIT Bhubaneswar. Other students have been admitted to well-regarded state-level institutions, including Odisha University of Technology and Research (OUTR), Bhubaneswar, and Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology (VSSUT), Burla, in various disciplines such as Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Biotechnology, and Mining Engineering.

This remarkable achievement highlights the success of the Odisha Adarsha Vidyalayas (OAVs) system, which focuses on providing holistic academic support, residential facilities, and specialized coaching for meritorious students from across the state. The guidance and mentorship provided by the dedicated teachers and administrators at OAVs have played a crucial role in preparing these students for competitive exams like JEE.

The Secretary of the School and Mass Education Department extended his heartfelt congratulations to the students and teachers, applauding their hard work, dedication, and unwavering commitment.
