Bhubaneswar, September 26: A total of 1,101 candidates received appointment letters at the 17th State-level Nijukti Mela held at the Krushi Shiksha Sadan, here on Saturday. Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi distributed the appointment letters to the young recruits.
The newly appointed employees will join various Government departments, including Health, Revenue, Finance, and Cooperation.
Addressing the even the Chief Minister said the young people joining Government service had an important role to play in achieving the vision of Samrudha Odisha 2036 and Viksit Bharat 2047.
“Getting a government job is not merely holding a position but a sacred responsibility to serve the people with dedication and selflessness. Our government follows a strict “Zero Tolerance” policy against corruption in the governance. I urge all newly appointed youths to follow the principle of “Service to mankind is service to God” and serve the 4.5 crore people of Odisha as members of an extended family,” said Majhi.
He also highlighted what he described as Odisha’s growing employment ecosystem.
“Since the formation of our Government, we have remained firmly committed to filling all vacant Government positions by upholding the highest standards of transparency and impartiality. Over the past two years and three months, from June 2024 till date, more than 46,000 eligible young men and women across Odisha have been provided government employment,” said Majhi.
