Bargarh, Aug 28: Three people from Bargarh district of Odisha are reportedly missing following the devastating floods in Nepal. According to preliminary information, the three missing individuals are believed to belong to the same family. A young girl is also reportedly among those missing.

The missing persons have been identified as Gunam Jaya Krishna, Gunam Sai Bindu Kumari and Gunam Hare Krishna.

Following the information, authorities have been alerted through the Odisha Control Room in New Delhi. The matter has subsequently been communicated to the concerned authorities through the Indian Embassy, and efforts are underway to trace and rescue the missing individuals.

Officials are coordinating with authorities in Nepal as search and rescue operations continue in the flood-affected areas.

The devastating floods in Nepal have caused widespread destruction, affecting people, homes, vehicles and critical infrastructure. Families of those missing are awaiting further information as rescue agencies continue their efforts.
