Bhubaneswar, Oct 16: Marking his 80th birthday, Biju Janata Dal (BJD) president and Leader of Opposition Naveen Patnaik is set to make a significant public appearance by participating in the party’s Janasampark Padayatra in the state capital today.
The veteran leader will join the event at Ganganagar village under the Ekamra Assembly constituency. The programme is being organised on a grand scale under the leadership of Bhubaneswar District BJD president Ashok Chandra Panda.
Party leaders and workers from all three Assembly constituencies in Bhubaneswar are expected to take part in the rally, showcasing strong organisational unity and public outreach.
This appearance marks a return to active politics for Patnaik, who had remained largely away from public and party events due to health issues since June. His re-entry into field-level activities has brought renewed enthusiasm among party workers and supporters across the state.
