Bhubaneswar, Dec 9:Classes in more than 40 schools in Delhi, including DPS RK Puram and GD Goenka School in Paschim Vihar were suspended on Monday after the institutes received bomb threats via emails in the morning.

The emails also prompted the authorities for  sudden  evacuation of students and staff, who had already reported before the emails were acknowledged.

The threats disrupted the peak morning hours as school buses arrived, parents dropped off children, and staff prepared for the day.

On being informed, police rushed to the schools to verify the sources of emails and their authenticities.
