Nice (France), June 14: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday held extensive bilateral talks with French President Emmanuel Macron in the French city of Nice, reviewing the progress of the India-France Special Global Strategic Partnership and discussing cooperation across several key sectors.

According to the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), the two leaders deliberated on a wide range of areas, including artificial intelligence (AI), startups, trade and investment, infrastructure development, mobility, health, sustainability, security, culture, and people-to-people ties.

The discussions also covered important international and regional developments, reflecting the growing convergence between India and France on global issues.

Prime Minister Modi arrived in the Mediterranean city on Saturday night and, along with President Macron, inaugurated the ‘Bharat Innovates’ event aimed at showcasing India's innovation ecosystem and strengthening technological collaboration between the two countries.

In a post on X, MEA spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said the meeting marked another significant step in deepening bilateral ties.
