Migrant worker from West Bengal found dead in Odisha’s Ganjam district

Bhubaneswar, August 27: A 45-year-old migrant worker from West Bengal was found dead in Odisha’s Ganjam district on Wednesday, police reported.

The deceased, identified as Lokman Sekh of Debadashpur in Murshidabad district, was discovered in a decomposed state in a roadside bush near Pandia under Purushottampur police limits. The body has been sent for post-mortem examination.

According to police, Sekh had been working for several months on a bridge construction project in Pandia along with other laborers from Murshidabad. They were staying in a camp near the worksite.
