Titilagarh, July 3: In a major crackdown on alleged disproportionate assets, Odisha Vigilance officials have unearthed a substantial amount of wealth during searches on properties linked to Sri Dileswar Majhi, Assistant Executive Engineer (AEE) of R&B Sub-Division, Titilagarh, under Kantabanji R&B Division in Bolangir district.
The searches, which are still ongoing, have revealed a staggering array of assets in the name of Majhi and his family members. So far, officials have discovered:
Four buildings –
A double-storeyed building measuring 4500 sq. ft. located in Sambalpur Town (Sarla), with a beauty parlour on the ground floor run by Majhi’s spouse.
Another double-storeyed building of 6300 sq. ft. in Brajaraj Nagar Unit-II.
Two buildings at Lahandapur, Jharsuguda.
Market complex –
A 900 sq. ft. commercial complex with four shops in Brajarajnagar Unit-II, Jharsuguda.
Nine high-value plots –
These include one plot each in Sambalpur and Brajaraj Nagar, six plots on the outskirts of Sambalpur Town, and one in Badmal, Jharsuguda.
Cash and valuables –
Unaccounted cash amounting to ₹6.57 lakh.
Gold jewellery weighing approximately 300 grams.
Bank & Financial Holdings –
Bank deposits totalling ₹20 lakh discovered so far, with further assessments of other deposits and investments currently underway.
Vehicles –
One Swift Dzire car and two two-wheelers.
The valuation and detailed measurement of the assets, including buildings, plots, and commercial properties, are being undertaken by the Vigilance Technical Wing. Investigations are ongoing to trace the full extent of the financial empire allegedly amassed by the AEE.
More revelations are expected as the search operation continues.
