Bhubaneswar, October, 9:  This tragic incident from Sundargarh district in Odisha highlights the deadly outcome of a dispute over a small amount of money.

Salindra Majhi, a 25-year-old from Barahadema village, was brutally attacked by Durjana Majhi after requesting the repayment of Rs 2,000.

Salindra had lent Rs 2000 to Durjan for a traveling plan to Tamil Nadu. However, Durjan neither went to Tamilnadu nor returned the money.

When Salindra today asked for said money, Durjan refused to return the amount and attacked Salindra with an axe, leaving him critically injured.

On the way to the hospital, Salindra met with another tragic twist of fate, as the motorbike carrying him and two others got into an accident, causing Salindra to fall and die on the spot. The two men who were assisting Salindra were injured and are currently receiving treatment in the local hospital.

On being informed, Talasar Police reached the spot, recovered the axe used in the crime, and initiated the investigation to nab the accused person.
