
Bhubaneswar: The 25th KT Global School International FIDE Rated Chess Championship, being inaugurated on Friday at the International Chess Hall of KT Global School. The five-day long meet organising by IIG Sports Academy in association with All Odisha Chess Association and in support of Khordha District Chess Association.
A total of 276 players from 13 States of India and one from Zimbabwe are participating in this tournament. The tournament has a cash prize of Rs 2,00,000 with a sizable 89 trophies and age group, local prizes.
Siddharth Shankar Rout, COO, KT Global School inaugurated the meet as chief guest. Among others. Durga Samantray, Editor in Chief, Durdarsi Media, Bhabesh Mohanty, Joint Secretary, All Odisha Chess Association, Swayangshu Satyakam, Director, Chess Turf Academy, IA Suresh Chandra Sahu, Chief Arbiter and Prasanta Kumar Puhan, Director, IIG Sports Academy were present.
