Koraput native secures engineering post at state employment drive

Balaram Pangi’s daughter, Alisha Rani, recently achieved an exceptional milestone by securing a highly coveted state government engineering role. She received her official posting as a Junior Engineer within the Housing and Urban Development Department during a recent employment drive. State officials officially assigned her to the Rural Water Supply and Sanitation (RWS&S) Division located in Malkangiri.

Growing up in the remote hills of Pottangi in Koraput district, Alisha faced unique geographical and social barriers. Access to advanced educational resources in these tribal regions often requires extraordinary dedication from local students and their families. Her success proves that true talent can thrive anywhere in Odisha when given proper educational opportunities. She slowly transformed her rural upbringing into a solid foundation of quiet strength, focus, and incredible perseverance.

Unforgettable Employment Fair

During the recent state Nijukti Mela, Alisha experienced a very special personal honour. She proudly welcomed the Chief Minister with a fresh flower bouquet before receiving her official employment letter directly from his hands. This specific public event distributed exactly 1,326 appointment letters across nine different state departments. The Housing and Urban Development Department alone accounted for 364 of these newly created public service appointments. These specific engineering roles heavily support the ongoing civic development happening across Odisha.
