
Bhubaneswar, July 21: In a formal ceremony held at the Orissa High Court on Monday, Justice Manas Ranjan Pathak was sworn in as a judge of the High Court, marking an important addition to the judiciary in the state.
The oath of office was administered by Chief Justice Harish Tandon, who welcomed Justice Pathak to the esteemed bench. The solemn event was attended by several dignitaries, including Odisha’s Law Minister Prithiviraj Harichandan, Advocate General Pitambar Acharya, senior judges, members of the Bar, and other legal luminaries.
Justice Pathak brings with him a wealth of judicial experience. Before his elevation to the Orissa High Court, he served as a judge of the Gauhati High Court, where he earned respect for his balanced judgments and deep understanding of the law.
Born on November 18, 1969, Justice Pathak enrolled as an advocate in 1995 and had an extensive practice in constitutional, civil, and service matters before his appointment to the bench.
The ceremony was held in the High Court’s ceremonial hall and concluded with a formal welcome by members of the legal fraternity, who expressed hope that Justice Pathak’s tenure would be marked by fairness, integrity, and judicial excellence.
